Groupware Technologies, Inc is pleased to announce the availability of Release 4.3 of the Provide Enterprise software. Outline below are the recommended steps for upgrading or installing Release 4.3 of the software.

You must also have administrative rights to install software on your local machine before installing this software.  If you are unsure if you have these permissions, contact your local IT staff.

NOTE:  Please write down your User Name, Server, and Database before Un-Installing the old version of the PE software!

Prerequisites

Microsoft .NET Framework updated though Version 2.0.50727.3082
Updates are available though windows update. The following is the name of the update that shows in Windows update.

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5 (KB951847) x86

Upgrade Procedure from 4.21.18000
Note:  Upgrades are not available for Windows 7.

  • Uninstall Provide Enterprise version 4.21.18000.

  • Download the PE Client Software

  • Click Save.

  • In the Save as dialog box, click Desktop, and click Save.

  • If prompted to overwrite file, click Yes.

  • Once the download has completed, double-click on the Provide Enterprise.exe (with a PK icon)

  • When prompted to extract files, choose yes.

  • If prompted to overwrite files, choose yes.

  • When prompted to run setup after the files have finished extracting, click yes.

  • Click next or finish through the remainder of the dialog boxes.

New Installations
Note:  Available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7

  • Download the PE Client Software

  • Click Save.

  • In the Save as dialog box, click Desktop, and click Save.

  • If prompted to overwrite file, click Yes.

  • Once the download has completed, double-click on the Provide Enterprise.exe (with a PK icon)

  • When prompted to extract files, choose yes.

  • If prompted to overwrite files, choose yes.

  • When prompted to run setup after the files have finished extracting, click yes.

  • Click next or finish through the remainder of the dialog boxes.

  • Download the Report Engine

  • Click Save.

  • In the Save as dialog box, click Desktop, and click Save.

  • If prompted to overwrite file, click Yes.

  • Once the download has completed, double-click on the CRRuntime12sp2fp24.exe

  • Click next or finish through the remainder of the dialog boxes.
